Get to know the different grape varieties and their characteristics in the perfect setting, the vineyard in which they grow. A great opportunity to learn a little more about the making and culture of Txakoli wines.

VISIT TO THE AÑANA SALT VALLEY

One of the world’s most important cultural, architectural, environmental, archaeological and natural beauty sites. Añana salt is considered to be one of the finest in the world by international experts.

GASTRONOMY (Dinner in the hotel)

The main gastronomic attraction in Gorbeia is based on the day-to-day activities of the local farmhouses. Enjoy the typical local produce, such as Idiazabal cheeses, vegetables, honey, fruit, freshly-baked bread and the famous Basque cake.

A BIKE RIDE AROUND ÁLAVA’S INLAND SEA

The Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir has three beaches on which visitors can sunbathe, go for a swim, take a bike ride or simply enjoy the silence and beauty as the sun begins to sink. (includes bike rental).

GASTRONOMY (Dinner) Dinner in hotel The cuisine in this part of the region is dominated by traditional dishes such as the red kidney beans from Tolosa with their sacramentos – chorizo, black pudding and cured belly pork – and salt cod pil pil. A further point of reference in the local cuisine comes in miniature form of pintxos.

Lose yourself on an electric bike ride through the heart of the Rioja Alavesa, drinking in the marvellous landscape.
